Skin exam in pharmacy

Self-analysis in the pharmacy

Holter Pressure
Service in agreement with the Italian Health Service: you can use it for free if you have a prescription.
Holter pressure is a device that allows you to evaluate the constant trend of blood pressure over a period of time ranging from 24 to 48 hours.
This is a non-invasive test which involves the installation of a device consisting of a wire-free cuff, which inflates and deflates at regular intervals during the day in order to carry out various blood pressure measurements.
Once the examination time has passed, simply go to the pharmacy again to disassemble the device and subsequently send the data to the specialist doctor.
In addition to having value for sporting purposes, the Holter Pressure represents a test of fundamental importance in the monitoring of hypertensive patients and at the same time an exam for diagnostic and preventive purposes in case of unstable arterial hypertension and syncope.

Spirometry
Service in agreement with the Italian Health Service: you can use it for free if you have a prescription.
Spirometry is a test that allows you to evaluate the health status of the lungs through the analysis of the patient's respiratory acts.
It represents a test of fundamental importance in the prevention and monitoring of bronchial diseases, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
The test is carried out using a spirometer and involves the execution of precise respiratory maneuvers carried out under the guidance of the pharmacist.
Once the exam is finished, the result is printed with the possibility of reporting by the pulmonologist.
It represents a valid test in case of: sporting activity, obstructive and restrictive diseases of the lungs, screening for smokers and in case of checks following infectious diseases relating to the respiratory system.

Cardiac Holter
Service in agreement with the Italian Health Service: you can use it for free if you have a prescription.
The installation of the Cardiac Holter allows you to evaluate the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time ranging from 1 to 5 days, thus allowing you to record a continuous trace in order to diagnose any alterations relating to cardiac activity.
This is a non-invasive test which requires the pharmacist to position the device on the chest. Once installed and started, this will constantly record the electrical activity of the heart and highlight any anomalies in the heart rhythm.
At the end of the exam the patient will have to go back to the pharmacy to proceed with dismantling the device and finally the data obtained will be sent to the specialist doctor who will provide a diagnosis of the trace in approximately 24 hours.
It represents a useful test not only from a preventive or sporting perspective, but also for all those patients undergoing therapy who need periodic cardiac checks.

Teledermatology
Teledermatology is a system that allows dermatological or trichological examinations to be carried out through the use of a digital dermatoscope.
Through this tool the pharmacist will be able to acquire the various images of the skin lesions reported by the patient and subsequently send them for reporting to dermatology specialists who will compile the report in approximately 24 hours.
Through the high resolution camera of the dermatoscope it is possible to analyze skin blemishes, nevi with associated mapping, various dermatological pathologies (atopy, psoriasis, rosacea...), bacterial and/or fungal infections of the skin and alterations of the scalp (alopecia, dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis..).
The teledermatology service available at our pharmacy therefore allows quick access to specialist advice from a dermatologist with a view to prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of multiple skin pathologies.

ECG
Service in agreement with the Italian Health Service: you can use it for free if you have a prescription.
Through the positioning of 4 electrodes on the chest by specialized personnel, it is possible to record the electrical activity of the heart, useful for diagnosing any pathologies of the heart valves, myocardial infarction and arrhythmias.
The advantages of the ECG in the pharmacy are not limited only to the reduced cost of the service, but above all to the speed of execution with consequent reporting by a specialist doctor and the possibility of carrying out the test on site if moving is difficult or impossible of the patient to a clinic or hospital.
Tele-reporting of the exam also allows the issuing of a certificate of non-competitive sporting suitability and is useful not only in the diagnostic and preventive field, but also in the monitoring of patients already undergoing therapy.
