Teledermatology is a system that allows dermatological or trichological examinations to be carried out through the use of a digital dermatoscope.
Through this tool the pharmacist will be able to acquire the various images of the skin lesions reported by the patient and subsequently send them for reporting to dermatology specialists who will compile the report in approximately 24 hours.
Through the high resolution camera of the dermatoscope it is possible to analyze skin blemishes, nevi with associated mapping, various dermatological pathologies (atopy, psoriasis, rosacea…), bacterial and/or fungal infections of the skin and alterations of the scalp (alopecia, dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis..).
The teledermatology service available at our pharmacy therefore allows quick access to specialist advice from a dermatologist with a view to prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of multiple skin pathologies.
